Jaci’s Sabi House
Jaci’s Sabi House is an exclusive-use safari villa in the world renowned Sabi Sand Reserve, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
We believe that privacy is the new pinnacle of luxury.
Accommodating only 6 guests at a time on a sole use basis, each stay is a bespoke safari experience, tailored to guests’ every desire.
Guests at Jaci’s Sabi House have the luxury of not having to share the peace and tranquility that they find here with anyone outside of their group.
For the duration of their stay this is their villa, and, within the constraints of the Sabi Sand Reserve and the natural environment, they command the ship while in house.
Each day is theirs to design in consultation with the professional staff, who are all well versed in guests need for privacy.
The Main Lodge House features a large patio and grassed viewing area, a swimming pool and open-plan kitchen/bar as well as indoor and outdoor dining facilities.
We believe that our South African inspired cuisine is best enjoyed under African skies, and we pride ourselves on regular authentic outdoor dining experiences.
Featuring locally produced and designed fabrics, furnishings and crafts, the main house is a show piece of custom creations including a brightly coloured calabash chandelier, woven basket wall art and a unique sofa that makes a bold decor statement.
The sections of vibrant green, blue and red wall colours are anchored by dark wood antique furniture, exposed thatch ceilings and concrete floors.
Follow the path through the spectacular landscaped indigenous garden to the separate Garden Rooms, fire pit and boma areas, all located just a short distance from the main house.

Safaris at Jaci’s Sabi House:
As the first rays of sunlight touch the horizon, we venture into the Sabi Sand bushveld on our early morning game drives.
Each drive at Jaci’s Sabi House brings different thrills and experiences. From the dew drops clinging to spider webs to the gruff cough of a leopard, the bush fills us with the feelings felt by so many before that still captivate us, connect us, and allow us to feel at one with nature.
You will not only see the bush, but get to touch, taste and smell it, a true safari of the senses.
Late afternoon game drives are times of soft ethereal light when the bush shows us its most beautiful self.
Even the large, mono-coloured elephants, rhinos and buffalos seem enhanced by the late afternoon light.
As the sun retreats behind the hills and trees on the horizon we share the iconic tradition of the safari sundowner and ready ourselves for the nocturnal search for large predators.
Lions and leopards revel in the darkness which assists their hunting.
Selective, educated use of a handheld spotlight by our tracker allows guests to share these nocturnal activities and search for smaller creatures of the night like genets, porcupines, galagos and honey badgers.
Being a sole use lodge, each game drive can be tailored to meet the expectations of the guests on the day.
Our expertly trained and qualified ranger and tracker team never cease to amaze with their level knowledge and entertain with their stories, some of past adventures and others of local folklore and tradition.
Daily programs and schedules can adjust to suit the wants of each set of clients, but are usually built around early morning game drives, brunch, and afternoon high tea, evening game drive and an outdoor dinner.
